Lewes Neighbors magazine featured the story behind Lily Beth Saves the Animals in its July 2026 issue. From a little girl rescuing seagulls and chasing chickens along the Delaware coast to a children's book and a daughter now in veterinary school, it's a local story at heart. There's a full-circle detail I love: this issue features Hopkins on the cover, the very farm where Lily first fell in love with cows. She spent years raising her 4-H cows on Hopkins land and showing at the Delaware State Fair, and even placed 3rd in the state for Dairy Cow Knowledge. The story that became this book developed on that farm.
