Lily Beth Saves the Animals

Lily wants to be a vet when she grows up and save ALL the animals. But why wait?

With a crumpled list in her pocket and a heart full of determination, Lily sets out to make a difference right now. One hurt seagull, one wandering kitten, two very confused chickens, and one very patient duck later, she’s learning that helping isn’t always easy.

But it’s always worth it.

A warm, funny story about compassion, courage, and the big things kids can do when they stop waiting and start taking action.

ABOUT AUTHOR

Carrie Koster

Carrie Koster grew up just outside of Washington, DC, and now lives near the beautiful Delaware Beaches, where she and her husband, Dave, have raised their two children, Lily and Dillon.

Together, they built a family portrait business along the Delaware coast, helping families tell their stories through images they will treasure for years to come. Carrie studied childhood education and raised her own children through a blend of traditional schooling, homeschooling, and travel, guided by a belief that children learn best through real-life experiences.

Carrie wrote Lily Beth Saves the Animals to remind children that they don’t have to wait to make a difference. Her stories are inspired by real-life moments and the belief that what a child loves is always worth noticing.

She loves coffee, quiet mornings with a good book, and time spent with her family and their animals, including Goose, their grey cat who was rescued by her son last summer. These days, she's also enjoying the season of watching her young adult children step into their own paths and build lives she's proud to be part of.
